We use personalised learning methods to help each child reach their full potential.
Building meaningful, respectful
relationships is the foundation for learning.
KuierKidz Learning Centre is an independent special needs centre located in Rietfontein, Hartbeespoort. Our holistic approach combines indoor and outdoor learning activities to help learners reach their full potential. We follow a therapeutic model where each child has an individual learning program tailored to their strengths and challenges. Using the SNAP program (Special Needs Adapted Program), we implement the severe to profound intellectual disability curriculum to support meaningful progress.
Our mission is to assist, empower, and enable learners with disabilities to thrive in a safe, nurturing environment. We offer one-on-one tutoring sessions (20 minutes each) for each learning criterion, complemented by small group activities. Our focus also includes Activities for Daily Living (ADL) to foster independence and communication skills. The school day runs from 07:00 to 14:00, and our program starts at 08:15 with two short breaks in between.
Founded by dedicated parents who began with temporary buildings in Meerhof, KuierKidz has grown into a reputable centre. Our goal is to establish a combined learning and boarding facility on a single premises.
Our learners come from diverse backgrounds, with a variety of neurodiversities resulting from syndromes, accidents, birth defects, or illnesses. Due to a lack of schools for the severely disabled, parents took the initiative to create KuierKidz Learning Centre.
We receive no government funding and rely entirely on donations to cover essential expenses such as tutor salaries, special equipment, therapy, training, and daily operations. Maintaining high standards for specialised tutoring and care means overheads are significant. Any one-time or monthly contribution would make a tremendous difference in sustaining our mission.
Together, we can continue changing lives—your support means everything!
It is our mission to assist, empower and enable learners with disabilities, regardless of the barriers to learning, to achieve their full potential in a safe, nurturing and caring environment.
Our vision is to create an environment in which learners with special needs can develop their life skills to the fullest possible extent according to their own ability. This involves creating opportunities based on universal truth within an educational atmosphere, as well as stimulating each individual, whether academically or practically.
We are a non-profit organisation. Our goal is to provide every individual with special needs the support, friendship and inclusion that they deserve.
